Jon Halaby’s practice focuses on insurance law, tort and construction litigation. Jon’s specialty as an insurance attorney involves the analysis and litigation of insurance bad faith claims, and the preparation of insurance coverage opinions. He is often called upon to advocate on behalf of insurance carriers and policyholders regarding claims handling and coverage questions. Jon’s general litigation practice specializes in personal injury, property loss, and business tort claims. He is also an experienced construction law attorney and frequently represents contractors and project owners in a variety of issues involving breach of contract and faulty workmanship. Jon also handles probate disputes such as will contests, and breach of fiduciary duty claims.

Jeff has broad experience as a civil litigator, and focuses his practice on insurance defense and subrogation, employment law, and personal injury matters. He started his legal career as the judicial clerk for the New Castle County Court of Common Pleas in Delaware. Since he moved to Massachusetts in 2009, he has devoted his law practice to civil litigation, handling matters in small claims court, state district court, superior court, and federal court.

Donna is an attorney specializing in employment law with over 20 years of experience.  Donna counsels both employers and employees regarding the hiring process, discipline and termination, sexual harassment investigations, discrimination claims, personnel policies, wage and hour laws, reasonable accommodations, leaves of absence and other disability issues, severance and employment agreements, and overall compliance with state and federal employment laws. 

Nancie L. Edgren has over fourteen years of experience in civil litigation, mostly concentrating in complex personal injury matters, including medical malpractice, automobile accidents and premises liability involving death and serious injury.  Ms. Edgren's success in trying, mediating and settling personal injury cases comes from her attention to detail and zealous approach.  Ms. Edgren also represents both employees and employers in workplace disputes including discrimination claims before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination (MCAD) and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), as well cases in the Superior Court and the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. 

Julie Halaby focuses her practice on addressing the legal needs of employers, business owners and individual professionals, providing ongoing counsel and support with employment and business-related matters.  Whether this involves preparing contracts, responding to events in the workplace, setting up an LLC or corporation, initiating or responding to a lawsuit, or other issues affecting day-to-day business operations, Julie is committed to helping her clients succeed.  Through her knowledge of the ever-changing employment and business related laws, exposure to a variety of industries, and her sensitive, solution-oriented approach, Julie is a valuable resource in the transactional context and where ongoing counsel is needed.
